Day 2: A Long Drive to Flagstaff.

Our night at Pioneertown was blissful. Although we had slept in the Airstream the night before in the parking lot of Morongo Casino, last night was the first night we had electric and water in months. We watched TV, cooked breakfast in the morning and tried to use everything to make sure that they all still worked.

Day 1: Pioneertown and FolkYeah!

First morning of our Southwest trip was again in the parking lot of Morongo Casino just outside of Palm Springs. From southern California, the fastest way towards Albuquerque, where our destinations is on this trip, is to head east on I-15 to catch the 40 across Arizona. We weren’t going to take the easy way. We are driving through the high desert because we like it.

Balloon Fiesta Bound.

While our blog is still talking about our European trip, we have indeed been back home for a couple of months now. The trip to France and Croatia was amazing but at the same time, there are many days in Croatia that would bore you to tears if I chose to blog about them. So I will select a few memorable ones to share in some future posts. But for now, we are already planning another adventure.

Day 2: Wasting no time getting to know Paris.

Our first morning in France we awoke to breakfast already made for us. This is something we can get use to. Teta Milica does not mess around.  There were fresh pastries and hot coffee as well as mini cereal boxes with milk for the girls. It was immediately clear that our usual pace of strolling around inside the Airstream wearing our pajamas ’til lunch was not going to fly here. Teta Milica means business and we already have a full day planned.

Day 1: Los Angeles to Paris.

First of all, I want to set things straight with this series of posts. Unlike our 2010 Cross Country posts, it is not likely I will write a post per day on this trip. Unlike a road trip, we don’t have a car and we stay in only a handful of places. That means a handful of days on this trip were not too different from each other. I will try to stay in chronological order though and highlight some of the days that were more significant. For example, our transit day from Los Angeles to Paris.
