Ingo Rademacher (aka Jax) and his Airstream.

It’s no secret that I am in love with General Hospital. It’s written right there in my bio for the whole world to see. I’ve been watching that soap opera since as long as I can remember. Seriously. My mom would pick me up from elementary school at 2:35pm and we’d race back home in her gold Firebird (vroom!!!) so we could hunker down to watch the last couple segments together.

My love for that show is so bad that I actually follow most of the actors on my personal twitter feed. Dan thinks it’s ridiculous. At first, I added my actor “friends” to our joint Mali Mish twitter account. He got a little fed up and banished all my “friends” to my personal account. Curse you, Dan!

But then a little miracle happened. One of my favorite dudes, Ingo Rachmacher who plays Jax, asked all his twitter followers this question:

Grab your credit card. It’s Etsy time.

Enough of this techy stuff. It’s time to soften up this blog a bit!!

I am a huge fan of Etsy. As I am of Anthropologie. And this week my heart broke a little when Anthropologie’s big sister, Urban Outfitters, pretty much stole a line of necklaces from a small guy gal on Etsy. People were going nuts. But then a little article came out on Regetsy about people on Etsy stealing from others on Esty and it shut some of them up and for others, added more fuel to the fire.

But I am not hear to preach to you about how stealing is wrong. I am here to help you do a little shop shopping for your Airstream and/or home.

I’ve stumbled upon a couple awesome prints on Etsy that are fitting for those of us that enjoy the road. This first one by The Wheatfield is my favorite. It is currently sold out but I’m sure it will be back in stock soon. And when it is, I am buying one ASAP… unless you swoop in and get to it first. Damn, maybe I should have kept this my little secret.

Day 98: On our way to Memphis.

Today we left Nashville and are so happy to have made the decision to stop here. It felt like the right one. And where else would Ava had a chance to dance her little heart out?!?! Music City was the perfect place to do so.

But before we headed out of town, we stopped by a Cracker Barrel to give it another try. The last time we stopped by one, we had the most over-the-top ridiculous are-we-on-camera waitresses. She checked on us every 15 seconds, I swear. But I am happy to report that the wait staff in Nashville are normal.

Day 88: Traveling through the Carolinas.

This morning we left our campground in Charleston, South Carolina to make our way north. And Ava left the campground in tears because she started to miss our doggy neighbor before we even had to say good-bye to him. On top of having a crying kid in the car, we also had a trash bag full of stuff we needed to donate. As we drove into the capital of South Carolina for the day, we quickly found a thrift store to drop off our crying kid old clothes and household items. Ahhhhhh! It feels so good to be reorganized again. But I doubt it will last long.
