In the more than a decade of overland travel, we have collected quite a bit of experience and knowledge in the mobile living lifestyle. We are thrilled to have inspired others to start their own adventures during that time. Many people have wanted to know more details about how we have been able to sustain a mobile lifestyle for so long. That is why we decided to start a new project called Freely Roaming.
Our goal is to share everything we’ve learned with you on our new Freely Roaming website and social channels. Topics we will discuss in depth are how to make income from the road and different ways to become financially independent, details of our unique day-to-day life on the road, various tips and tricks of vehicle-based international travel, choosing and building your perfect adventure mobile, and creating the perfect road school curriculum catered to your kids’ interests.
Our Mali Mish website and social media channels will stay exactly the same and continue to be a place we share our family’s travels. We’d love for you to check out our new intro video for Freely Roaming and subscribe.
It was a little scary starting a new (and long overdue) project from scratch and putting ourselves out there. Our goal for 2020 is to create 100 videos and blog posts all about the ins and outs of this lifestyle. Saying that out loud to keep us accountable. 🙂
We also dig deeper into topics which will include:
How to pick the right full-time travel vehicle for your needs.
How to full-time travel with kids.
How we found an unexpected acceptance in the Airstream community.
How we take breaks from the kids when there are no babysitters around.
How we refresh our water supply when camped in the middle of nowhere.
How Luka makes the perfect s’more.
How to get and keep the kids outdoors as much as possible.
How we keep clean and shower on the road.
How we find community while living on the road.
How we foresee future technology changing the way people full-time travel, like the Cybertruck by Tesla.
How we outfitted and upgraded our rigs, from solar to electrical to suspension.
How we dump our toilet and blank tanks.
How we make money while on the road.
How we deal with cell data while traveling internationally.
How we traveled with a cat for ten years.
How we cook on the road.
How we find amazing camp spots all over the world.
How we’ve lasted on the road for over 10 years.
How we homeschool on the road, AKA roadschool or worldschool.
How we boondock and our recommended essentials to boondock like a pro.
How we use National Park Services (NPS) to supplement our children’s education via the Junior Ranger program.
Thanks for all the support over years here on Mali Mish and I hope to see some of you over on Freely Roaming as well!
