The other day on Instagram, we reached out to our followers with the idea of turning our Airstream into an AirBnB and if anyone had thoughts on it. Lots of idea came in… from placing it on their land, to letting them borrow it for a summer to get a feel for Airstreaming, to storing it on their property, to turning into a long term rental. There were so many directions we could take with our Airstream but eventually went with our gut instinct when a friend piped up that she wanted to run an AirBnB on her small farm in Arizona.

So off to Cave Creek, Arizona we went.

Our friend has a small farm on her property where she takes care of rescued farm animals, as well as fostering dogs and cats.

The kids could not smiling from the moment they saw all the animals.

We actually met our friend through our mutual admiration and ownership of Airstream trailers. Hers is vintage. Ours was a year old (but new) when purchased.

This puppy was luckily adopted fairly quickly into a good home.

There were currently three donkeys when we arrived but animals that reside on the farm can change daily.

After our initial visit to the farm, we made plans of towing it from our last spot at Caravan Outpost in Ojai, California to this farm in Cave Creek, Arizona. The playlist below will take you thru several videos describing the changes we made to get it ready for AirBnB (link here) and VRBO (link here)

A full tour can be seen in the playlist above or right below.

Thanks for visiting,
Marlene
