One day our girls will be faced with that all-too-familiar “what are you going to do with your life” question. Since we are not ready yet to give them the Mish so they can roam around the world aimlessly, we thought we should start getting them acquainted with the real world by going to the Children’s Discovery Museum of the Desert in Rancho Mirage today.

Of course we started the day with a healthy and nutritiously balanced breakfast of carbs and more carbs.

Just as a good corporate desk jockey should, we started them off with an early morning workout.

Say cheese, Mila! Looking good for that mid-level promotion!

One of the best tips I gave her is to put on some glasses and a lab coat. It always makes you look smarter.

Here is Ava trying her hands on a career as a graphic designer. Not bad! I think she might be onto something.

IMG_0928

Mila, not so much. Unless cubism is making a come back sometime soon.

IMG_0895

Being financially self-sufficient also will mean that they need to shop smart at the grocery store. Look for those double coupon deals!

IMG_0901

I know Mila, nothing good is ever on sale. Keep trying!

IMG_0909

If nothing in the corporate world works out, I think Ava might be able to line up a gig at the Pizza Hut. Those giant olive slices are to die for!

IMG_0938

I don’t think painting cars is in her future. These people are not gonna be thrilled to get their car back with all the windows painted shut.

IMG_0930

Maybe a little stop motion animation? We might just give Disney/Pixar a run for their money.

IMG_0967

We always have to also prepare for the chance that they might just be physically gifted once puberty hits. Maybe Ava could be the first girl to cross over from the WNBA to the NBA. That would be linsane.

Our impromptu career day really pooped Mila out.

IMG_0980

At least they will always have each other.

“Mila, you know that old saying, ‘Give a girl a fish, she will eat for a day, buy a girl a sweet princess fishing pole, it will feed her for a lifetime.'”

over and out,
dan
