You probably think that I have dropped off the face of the earth. Or at least you were thinking Where the hell is Marlene and her super exciting posts? I have had enough of Dan’s super geeky informational posts. Solar shmolar. Hehe.

Well, I’m back. Actually, I never left. I was here the whole time. Sleeping. Resting. Growing. You see, we have a little announcement. Our little family of three will soon be a little bigger. I’m pregnant with baby #2 and we couldn’t be happier.
Funny face

So, you see. We have some things to think about. Our year on the road will still be a year on the road. But it will mostly likely have to happen in two larger chunks. Because there is no way I am delivering a baby in an Airstream. No way José. I need nurses and drugs. And I don’t need amniotic fluid on those fabulously obnoxious palm tree curtains. Too much information. Sorry. So, like I said, we have some things to think about. So, stay tuned… as we are still hitting the open road in our Airstream with our toddler Ava and our cat Yoda… and a baby too. 🙂

the end,
marlene

P.S. New posts about our first FOTR Rally in Newport Beach are on their way.

Wow! Congratulations to you all! I do hope you still make the Big Trip. Yes, it can be done even with a baby. Best wishes for a healthy new one and fun travels!

Congrats!! So, are you going to raise that baby on the road for a bit??

Also, has a take off date been set yet? And are you stopping by NYC?

marlene · March 6, 2009 at 8:29 am

thanks everyone.

katie- hello! how i miss your daily blog updates and pictures! did you have to give the tab back? our take off date is now up in the air. my doctor has put me on ‘stay off of your feet and don’t lift ava’ rest so i don’t know if hitting the road next month while on that type of strict instruction is the best idea. we have a lot of things to think about. we might have to push our take off date until the baby is here safe and sound. but who knows. maybe the pregnancy will go a lot smoother in the next few weeks and we’ll be on the road. it’s all up in air and a little frustrating but we’ll get it figured out.

stopping by nyc is a fantastic idea 🙂

When you get to New York City, if we are here we’ll show you around, if not, we’ll give you a list of places to visit. I always wondered if there were campgrounds around, checking that out now….

I miss our daily blogs too. I miss not having to work 🙁 🙁
I keep meaning to update with a few extra stories we have. When we’re living on the road permanently next year things are going to change a bit with Wanderful, and I think we’ll go sans sponsors so we can really get some emotional crap out onto the site and not have to worry if the eff word slips out a few times.

Anyway, congrats again. How far along are you?

I’m 4 months along. Due in early September. 🙂
