Our littlest adventurer turned 6 today. SIX! It’s crazy how fast the years go. I’m so grateful to be able to spend everyday with him and the rest of my crew.
He has a list of things he wants to do today. First on the list is getting a haircut at the kids salon. It may have something to do with being able to play video games while the hair stylist works her magic.
And done! And so handsome.
Next? Fish tacos from Baja Fresh for Taco Tuesday. It’s not Baja but the closest thing we’ve got right now.
Since we were near the Mercedes dealership, we stopped by to meet with Rodney our sales guy to talk van skin wrinkles. After thinking that we caused the first wrinkle, it’s probably more likely that the first wrinkle came that way to us from the factory since it’s not uncommon problem with Sprinters. Us pushing it caused more for sure. The dent specialists didn’t want to touch our van. He can’t guarantee he can fix it nor can he guarantee he won’t make it worse. We’ve decided “fix” the issue by cutting a shore power connecter port there or just covering it with a custom decal.
Snapped a quick photo of me and the birthday boy.
And guess what? I guess six year olds still nap in the car. Hehe.
His special request of the day was to go to SkyZone to bounce on the trampolines with his girls. The jousting ended up his favorite activity.
Being the littlest one on the jousting platform meant he lost each match. Even when Ava tried to rig the match to get him to win, something always happened causing him to lose again.
There were some tears for sure after each match.
But the tears dried up pretty quickly once he realized that birthday boys get free Icee drinks!
Much better.
Back at my parents’ house, Luka was surprised with balloons so we took them immediately into the van to get photos with our new home.
Him posing in the middle of the balloons. Haha.
If they start a band, this will be their album cover.
Don’t fly away, little man.
LOOK WHAT WE HAVE HERE!!! Woohoo. We didn’t physically get to work on the van today but we did get a shipment of parts and went through them all on day 10.
Our friends at Dometic sent over some goodies for us. A second Fan-Tastic Vent, a CO alarm, a LP gas detector, and an awesome sink/stove combo with a flush glass lid. Thanks so much DOMETIC for the treats. Can’t wait to install them all in our van.
Alright. It’s time for some cake.
Thanks for following our family’s adventure.
Here’s the video to go along with the day 10 build and Luka’s 6th birthday. Enjoy!
As always, thanks for following along,
Marlene
