Took most of today off but wanted to document the things that we did do in regards to the van today. There were a few small sections we didn’t cover with Reflectix last night so we finished those off in the morning. Shiny like an Airstream, right? 😉
I gave the kids some scrap pieces of Reflectix and blue tape and decided to make boats with them. By the way, they all floated.
Just as we finished that up, the FedEx guy showed up with these babies… our new windows. After our neighbors had a breakin and read this post from Top Master Locksmith, we heard and had decided to upgrade our windows on top of the windows we were getting for the van. We opted for the ones from Tern Overland because they had the style of windows we wanted in stock and thus delivered in two days. On a Saturday too!

Super impressed with the quality so far. Love the built in sun shade and screen for it and the ability to lock the window while it is slightly open for ventilation. Will work great with our cat Yoda when we leave her in the van.
The windows will be mounted at this level, we think. We will do some measurements inside first to ensure we can access the window latches from our bed area while giving some air flow to the kids in the bed above.
We also started to put together a mock-up for the logo. It’s our first pass at it. The birds represent the five of us. Thinking we will not have such an abrupt stop on the left side. And change the font too.
The reason it will end there is because there is door on the other side that would look funny with a logo on it when the door is ajar.
We spent most of the day making homemade pizzas and playing the harmonica. This little guy is a couple days from turning six. SIX!
