Day 38: Chillaxing at the Minnesota Airstream Park.

We decided to stay in Clear Lake today at the Airstream Park since we haven’t really had a slow easy day in nearly a week. Our friends who invited us here, Tim and Melanie, have driven up from their home in Minneapolis to spend the weekend here as well and we are glad to see them again.

I had not officially met them at Alumafandago so it was great to finally get to chat with them today. There were so many people that we had met in Denver that finally getting to catch up with some of them away from the event was a nice change.

Tim and Melanie use to own a 25 ft International Ocean Breeze just like ours except with the Six Sleeper layout. They have since upgraded to a 30-foot Serenity that is absolutely a beautiful trailer. They were just going into the the Airstream dealership to buy some rivets to repair the floor pan of the Ocean Breeze and before they knew it, they were signing papers for a new one. There must be some kind of Jedi training they are giving all of the sales staff at Airstream dealers. I have heard at least 3 other Airstreamers become victim of that same mind trick. Someone please stop me if I ever mention going window shopping at an Airstream dealer.

Today the weather really warmed up as compared to yesterday. It is just about perfect at around the mid 70s.

The girls know exactly what they will get to do today and they are more than excited about it.

They get to go swimming in the heated pool!

I would not have imagined that Minnesota would be the place where we would take the girls swimming. Especially since yesterday was a chilly low 60s.

Today is a whole different story. We are officially in relaxing mode here in the Minnesota Airstream Park.

We initially had thought about just staying for a couple of days but I think that will need to be extend for a few more days. We are going to take advantage of the nice weather here while it lasts.
