Since we have been back on our trip, Marlene and I are not the only ones who miss our lives on the road. Every now and then, Ava will ask me to tell her stories about camping during our bed time routine. We have even sat and watched our entire photo slideshow with well over 2,000 pictures in one sitting just to jog our memories.
And yes, we did a magnadoodle version of us next to the mish. Even our beloved late husky Rudy was there. She wasn’t even alive when we bought the Airstream but Ava insisted that she pose for this family portrait.
Ava finally got a chance to spend some quality time with her sea shells she collected along the Florida coast.
“Big ones go here, little ones go there, broken ones go… MAMMA!!! Who broke my seashells!!!!”
I finally decided to confront my worst road trip enemy: The endless allure of regional delicacies. It was really hard to keep up a workout routine on the road since routine is not a word in a faux timer’s dictionary. Now that I am home, I have no excuse.
Before I get too crazy with these infomercial exercise videos, I decided to go out with one last hoorah.
BBQ pork skewers in my newly minted backyard BBQ pit! This is not going to be easy.
over and out,
dan
