After 3.5 months in Croatia, we are finally headed out of Croatia with Spain, Portugal and Morocco in our sights.
Before we take off, we made a quick loop around the city and said our good-byes.
Dumping our Dometic portable toilet and refilling our Reliance water jugs before we head out.
And we are OFF!
Kids playing MineCraft in the car while the adults listen to podcasts.
We took the long scenic and toll-free road up the coast.
It was wild and free of towns and villages.
We enjoyed the drive so much that we decided to pull over when the sun set so we wouldn’t miss any of the drive because of darkness. We pulled into a public parking lot in the little seaside town of Karlobag. You usually have to pay per hour during the day in the busy season but the ticket machine was shut down today thanks to the off-season.
Church and moon reflections off of the van.
These kids jumped out of the van and immediately regretted not having their thick jackets on. Yup, still cold in Croatia.
This view is exactly what I needed for our first night back on the road after a few hectic days dealing with government employees and packing.
A quick walk into the city for groceries, drinks and sandwiches.
Home.
Another van reflection.
It’s a bit chilly, probably in the 40s right now but look at this view. Love it.
Here’s a short video of our day on our YouTube channel. Enjoy!
Thanks for following,
Marlene
