Good morning from that shipwreck beach in Greece! And guess what today is? Luka’s 7th birthday!!!! First thing first? Birthday present scavenger hunt!
And one in our friends’ VW bus too.
Birthday cards.
And random cute dogs.
Well, this gift was inappropriate. Ha.
He’s totally judging us.
Since we had some time before our ferry to Crete, we took Luka out for a special lunch in the town of Gythious.
The owner had a pet duck.
Time to fill our bellies with delicious Greek food.
Lining up for the ferry.
Since we are waiting for the okay to board, we had some time to relax in the van. Ava reading Luka’s new birthday book from our friends.
Coffee time.
Such a good trooper on his special day.
And today was a first. We had to load onto the ferry in reverse. Yes, reverse! All the little cars could u-turn inside but the ferry guys instructed us to reverse in like the big trucks.
And today is not only Luka’s birthday but also our friend’s Bode’s as well!
While boys hid around the corner, we decorated.
Accidentally matching the party decorations and each other. Perfect!
The ferry crew noticed we were singing without lighting the candles. We thought open flames were not allowed. That might be true but they brought over a lighter and we sang AGAIN. Haha.
Luka so excited to get the piece with his name on it.
Messy chocolate face. Good thing I didn’t shower him in our shared cabin until after the party.
After 7 hours onboard, we parked our vans in the ferry port and called it a night. Here is an Instagram story I put together for his birthday. I will add Dan’s vlog once it’s ready.
Thanks for following along,
Marlene
