I got this GoPro in the summer of 2018. The one I owned prior to this was the GoPro 5 Session. I was not very impressed with the stabilization and audio of the Hero 5 so I skipped the upgrade. I still own 2 Hero 4 Black edition cameras and they are probably one of the most versatile units made. The Hero 7 Black finally gave me a reason to upgrade. The stabilization algorithm is outstanding and the audio issues that plagued the 5 and 6 are much improved. It still has its issues but I am very happy with this upgrade.
