Yesterday they had plenty of floor space for their daily shenanigans. But not today. Today we install walls and start building the beds.<\/p>\n

Started off the day with sanding the wood putty that we added to our glued wood wall panels.<\/p>\n

\"Sprinter<\/p>\n

Then we painted them gray. Ava was all about helping with painting today.<\/p>\n

\"Sprinter<\/p>\n

I wonder what all the neighbors are thinking right now. Haha.<\/p>\n

Wall panel up! I’m a little disappointed that my color doesn’t exactly match but I can do one more coat on the exposed parts once cabinets cover most of it up.<\/p>\n

We had to cut a little hole for some wiring. Totally looks like a mouse hole.<\/p>\n

\"Sprinter<\/p>\n

Finalized some measurements today. The storage area will be 16″ tall and both of our sleeping areas will be 28″ tall.<\/p>\n

We decided to ditch these tall water jugs for shorter ones and to store our BBQ in two pieces so that a shorter 16″ storage area would work for us.<\/p>\n

We attached the wooden panels screws into the metal ribs of the van.<\/p>\n

\"Sprinter<\/p>\n

Took a long break from the van today to go visit the Croatian Consulate. Had to work out some specifics on traveling as a EU citizen versus a US citizen and traveling with a US plated car. We should be all good to go with Croatian passports for me and the kids. Dan will have to get a temporary EU resident card to travel under the same rules as the rest of us. And for the vehicle, it can stay up to 6 months in the EU at a time. Exiting the EU for s short period resets the 6 month clock. Not sure how times we are legally allowed to do that but we will figure that out later.<\/p>\n

Ok got back just as the sun was setting. Gotta get some more done today.<\/p>\n

We ended up cutting some 2×3 for the storage area.<\/p>\n

That’s as much as we could do today. It’s fun to see the interior building coming to life \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n
