The next stop on the Baja Express is to the town of Mulege. Instead of camping near town, we chose to be outside of town a bit at a campground surrounded by orange groves called Ray’s RV Park and Resort. And look who it is again, Tim and Kerri in Big Blue. This photo makes me giggle. We all ditched our Airstreams for a bit for a Baja adventure. I’m sure we will all be back in our Airsteams sometime in the future, but for now we are enjoying our time in this orange grove in the desert.<\/p>\n

We gave them a little space and spread out our crap for a night.<\/p>\n

We forgot to go to the grocery store. Doh. So Dan and Tristan made a beeline for some food and some beverages too.<\/p>\n

The kids immediately got to work picking oranges.<\/p>\n

\"Blog\"<\/p>\n

\"Blog\"<\/p>\n

\"Blog\"<\/p>\n

They did say pick as much as you want. But maybe the kids took it a little too literally.<\/p>\n

Oranges chilling by a cactus. NBD.<\/p>\n

The campground had an industrial sized juicer for their guests to use.<\/p>\n

It kept them entertained for quite a bit of time.<\/p>\n

There was an awesome looking pool here with bar and everything. Well, almost everything. No water.<\/p>\n

Maybe instead of water the grass all day, use some of that water for the pool, people!<\/p>\n

The kids are always happy to\u00a0have Moose around.<\/p>\n

Why did you stop petting me?!?!<\/p>\n

That’s better.<\/p>\n

Byron usually keeps his distance from us even with all the traveling we’ve done together but not this time.<\/p>\n

It was a Mulege miracle. Byron was hanging out at our campsite. GASP! We loves us. He finally loves us. (Or maybe he really loves oranges.)<\/p>\n

The bird watching here was wonderful. The girls and I got to identify new birds and for school we drew them and wrote some facts down in our nature journals. Yes, I have one too.<\/p>\n

I can’t remember the temps at night but it got cold, real cold. We had to turn on the heater to keep from all of crying frozen tears.<\/p>\n

This would have been a great stop for the work week but the dudes were still on vacation so we decide to head out of cell signal zone again. As we left town, we had a giggle. Pigs on the loose!<\/p>\n
