They eventually settled on Halloween in the village. Their thinking was that it would more fun to run loose down paths they know very well and there would barely be anyone here staring at them wondering what in the world was going on. Ha. We made a last minute trip to a mall in Split to finish up her costume. Mila has been eyeing this Stitch onesie for a year and finally got it a couple months back. Luka&#8217;s favorite movie is How To Train Your Dragon so he decided to be Toothless a few months back as well.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" id=\"49001825703\" alt=\"Halloween in Zastrazisce, Hvar, Croatia.\" src=\"https:\/\/farm66.static.flickr.com\/65535\/49001825703_d084243f2d_c.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The kids got to knock on exactly one door this year. This is my cousin Goran and he was happy to hand out treats to his first ever trick-or-treaters.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" id=\"49002131276\" alt=\"Halloween in Zastrazisce, Hvar, Croatia.\" src=\"https:\/\/farm66.static.flickr.com\/65535\/49002131276_fb965ed133_c.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p>But don&#8217;t worry. The kids collected plenty of candy. Just like we did last year, this year we organized a scavenger hunt in the village for the kids. Clues were placed in old trees, in churches, in old cars, etc. It&#8217;s not the American style holiday they know but I think it was enough fun to keep them happy all day.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" id=\"48996679017\" alt=\"Halloween in Zastrazisce, Hvar, Croatia.\" src=\"https:\/\/farm66.static.flickr.com\/65535\/48996679017_2bee0d1e33_c.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p>I don&#8217;t think I&#8217;ve ever introduced Rio the village dog on this blog yet. He makes lots of appearances in my <a href=\"http:\/\/instagram.com\/mali.mish\">Instagram stories<\/a> if you follow us there. Yup, still in costumes.
